Artist
Pilkush
From Skin to Sequencer
A former drummer, Pilú made a natural transition to electronic music, driven by an insatiable hunger for percussive textures and unexplored melodies. His rhythmic background is immediately felt in his productions, where the rigor and dynamism of percussion structures complex soundscapes. Deeply inspired by cinema and the full intensity of human emotions, from pure joy to the darkest nostalgia, he envisions music as a narrative vehicle: a cinematic soundtrack for awakened minds.
Symbiotic Eclecticism
Refusing to be boxed in, Pilú navigates genres with rare agility, embodying what he calls a "symbiotic eclecticism." This concept, which he explored in depth on a standout EP for Lille's Enlace Records, allows him to draw from House, Techno, Trance, Minimal, and the raw energy of the Rave. His sonic palette, enriched by a solid musical background, fuses these disparate influences to create hybrid tracks that are both physical and deeply sensitive. This unique approach quickly captured attention and earned the support of major figures in the scene, from Laurent Garnier, Darzack, and Elliot Adamson to new-guard artists like Malugi and Upper90.
The Melancholia Universe
It is his visceral love for melancholic textures that naturally led him to take the next step by founding his own label: Melancholia Records. Rather than centering his imprint around a strict musical genre, Pilú chose to orbit it around a mood, a shared atmosphere. Through Melancholia, he strives to unearth and propel productions that capture this raw sensitivity, proving that melancholy is not a style, but an emotional intensity capable of moving any contemporary dancefloor.
